Sirius is a complicated person to say the least, he doesn't show emotions too often and focuses mostly on his work. He has a mentality that in order to not be rejected he should reject them first and prevent any further heartbreak on his part, this mentality leads to losing a lot of friends that would have stood by his side no matter what happened between them or in his life. Deep down Sirius is genuine and kind, only showing this side of him to certain people in his life and if you are one of those people it means Sirius thinks of you highly and has genuine trust and respect for you.
