Cranedream
Personality
Cranedream is a very proper cat (coughs British accent) and is against most chaos since it usually results in others getting hurt. He's extremely insecure about the fact he is declawed as he feels like he lets down his clanmates, but now with being a medicine cat his clawless paws are perfect for delicately applying herbs and not further injure the cat. He tends to be protective of those he cares the most about because he doesn't want to see them under his paws in his den, it breaks his heart. So, to prevent this he keeps a stoic and proper exterior as to not let anyone too close, though with careful words and gentle smiles it's easy to make Cranedream your friend.
Due to Cranedream being declawed, whenever he leaves camp he usually has Dawnlight, a Territory Guard, with him to protect him. Though he would prefer to be alone, he is grateful for her help. She and Riverstar are always worried about him since they are like a family to him, Dawnlight like a sister and Riverstar like a mother. He understands their protective nature, but sometimes he just wants to be alone rather than always with Dawnlight outside of camp. This need to be alone has sent him out to meet up with the Thistleclan cat, Owlwing, many many times.
History
Cranedream was originally a kittypet, born with the name Winter. He was born in a house where cats were bred and sold, a breeders house. He had four other siblings that he remembers very little about, they were traditional playful kittens, they would play fight and run around chasing each other's tails. One day, though, he was bought by a couple with a small child who gravitated him instantly. “I want to name him Smokey!” the young child had chanted while holding him, the couple took Crane into their arms and showed how to hold him properly before placing Crane back into their child’s arms.
They took Crane home not too long after, now being called Smokey. He settled in quickly, and he was treated well until one morning the child had accidentally scared Crane and he scratched the child. Later that day, Crane was being taken out to get declawed so he couldn’t scratch anything or anyone ever again.
He had only been in the home for a little while, less than a year, and the door had been left open. Being the curious cat he was he wandered outside and around the garden in the front. That’s when he saw one of the adults come down and close the door quickly, that’s when it hit Crane he wouldn’t be able to get back in. So, he began to walk. They had lived in a more rural area with a large forest not so far away.
It took him about a moon before he found Fadedclan, and attempted to train as a warrior but was unable to because of his lack of claws. Riverstar offered him the alternative of becoming a Medicine Cat since every other rank required some sort of battle training. Cranedream (paw at the time) accepted and became Fadedclan’s Medicine Cat.
